Christine Daisy Deady is a songwriter from West Cork.
Having a naturally husky, sweet and instantly recognisable voice, Christine manages to combine her rich, unique vocal styling with a talent for telling a story. With delicious melodies, exceptional lyrics and infectious appeal, Christine’s music is uplifting and portrays an honesty and vulnerability that is refreshingly sincere.
As well as making a name for herself in the Irish music scene, she won the 2012 IMRO Christie Hennessey National Songwriting Competition, was shortlisted Most Promising New Act 2010 by Meteor, shortlisted by Vodafone as one of Irelands up and coming “Bright New Sounds”and nominated by Balcony TV in the Best Irish Female category.
Christine has supported a wide range of highly acclaimed Irish acts such as Paul Brady, Liam O’ Maonlai, John Spillane, Mick Flannery, Cathy Davey, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Jack L and Glen Hansard of The Frames. She has also recently shared the stage with Marketa Irglova.
